Part I: Go For the “Shoulds”!
As you start 2008, you need to go for the “shoulds”!
You see, there’s a performance gap in everything you do according to where you are now and where you want the ultimate outcome to be. Closing this gap is the key to obtaining great results in your goals.
Examples of shoulds include:
“I should be doing cardio 6 - 7 days a week for 30 - 60 minutes, instead of 3 days.”
“I should be doing my cardio workouts in my aerobic zone (and possibly my anaerobic zone), instead of my fatburning zone.”
“I should be eating 9 servings of fruits and vegetables every day instead of only 4.
“I should be sleeping 6 - 8 hours every night, instead of only 4 - 5.”
“I should get my body fat percentage down to 18% instead of keeping it at 22%.”
“I should be associating with positive like-minded people on a regular basis, instead of gossiping, complaining whimps.”
In order to create meaningful “shoulds,” you need to think in terms of more, better or different. The shoulds need to be your number-one focus in 2008, and you have to go for them. Start today!
