More Upcoming Projects for 2008

I’ve got a lot of projects in the works for 2008. Here’s a sneak peak:
First, I will be teaching the Build A Better Body Program to a group of seniors in the central Houston area. Of course, it will be modified to accomodate the mature adult population (60 plus). The program will include a 6-week lecture class once a week, water fitness classes twice a week, and an outdoor circuit training program. This class is part of a grant program with the Houston Independent School District and the City of Houston whose main goal is community outreach in the Cullen area of Houston. I am glad to be a part of this project and look forward to my new participants. The Class section of my site will be updated shortly with details.
The next project I’ve been working on for quite a while is a custom Fitness Journal. It’s taken me a long time with the layout because it’s going to be a smaller, diary size, hard copy journal full of workout logs, nutrition logs, forms, motivational tips and much more. It’s everything I think should be in a journal to really help you get the results you’re looking for. Should be ready in the Spring.
Also, I have plans to release my own software program for Nutrition and Meal Planning. I’ve been working on this project with my computer guru IT friend in Virginia who is almost finished doing all of the programming. It’s going to be different because it’s going to force you to have to create a meal plan on your own implementing the principles and concepts outlined in the Build A Better Body Program. So, instead of just clicking one button and the software program instantly prints you a meal plan, it will require you to think and select your own options and proportions for your meals. It will still be simple and easy to understand (everything will layed out for you), but just requires a little more cognitive thinking. My goal is for you to actually learn the process of eating well so you can incorporate it into your daily living for a lifetime. Should be ready in the Spring as well.
And finally, I’m in the research phase of developing my own line of nutrition supplements to compliment the Build A Better Body Program. I’ve been consulting with a few sports nutritionists to help me develop custom supplements for the person following high-intensity strength and cardio workouts and looking to transform their body. At this point, I have a few manufacturers selected, but it’s going to take time with the boring legal stuff.
And, since I have yet to come across a fat-burning product that is effective in the long term and worthwhile, I do not plan on releasing this type of product. This project should be ready maybe in late 2008.
Stay tuned for more updates.
